Author Marie Foss Hafen and husband Ralph

Marie Foss Hafen always looked forward to the day she could enjoy the benefits as a wife and mother but never anticipated that being a single mom of 5 children was where she would end up. Her intense love of babies and children is a great part of who she is and it is through her own personal struggles of rearing her own children in financially and emotionally tough times that she realized the greatest gift to give is that of a loving and safe home. She says that her "talented" five children and their companions, along with her beautiful grandchildren make life very complete and gratifying. When she met and married Ralph R. Hafen a few years ago (with his family of five supportive adult children, 24 grandchildren and great-grandchildren), she knew she had enhanced her life even more!

Marie's book Dear Mommy and Daddy is written from the babies perspective and is illustrated in child-like images to keep the reader always aware that this is how children see the world. Dedicated to getting a book into every teenage mother's hand has been a goal of Marie's for many years. With over 1 million new teen mothers emerging every year, Marie feels the need to give these young teenage minds an easy perspective of how to create that feeling of love and safety in their babies life.

Marie invites anybody who feels the desire to change a babies life to contribute to giving one of her books to a young teen mother today.
